The UK’s largest health cash plan provider, serving 10,000+ businesses, commissioned a feasibility study for a quoting tool to create tailored health plans.

Research and insights

User research

User surveys and interviews helped uncover inefficiencies in the sales quote process, revealing reliance on time-consuming spreadsheets and templates.

User flows

Conducted card sorting exercises and outlined user flows to organise content logically, to help define navigation and primary user interactions for the quoting tool.

Wireframing and validation

Design and prototype the interface with attention to key actions, such as generating and sending quotes, for easy access.

Site mapping / object mapping / user controls

This process facilitated collaboration between UX, the product owner, and development teams, serving as a high-level blueprint to guide rapid prototype development and align with development efforts.

This innovative solution not only streamlines the process of offering tailored health plans but also delivers industry insights that highlight the direct link between a healthy workforce and reduced absenteeism, translating into significant savings and increased revenue for customers. This design example shows the gateway landing page with a simple UI, complemented by healthcare-related imagery I created in Midjourney to set a sense of place and add realism to the product prototype.

UI control component design iteration

I created UI components in Figma to accelerate the design process. This screen displays an expandable product UI that offers quick insights and adjustments during sales calls.

Testing the quote build process

Prototyping involved showcasing product cohorts side by side. I designed and tested various interactions to identify the most user-friendly options, using interactive Figma screens to display configured product features for each cohort.
